Basic Reading

We continued to read Mapman Ch 2 (African Kingdoms).  We completed a Venn diagram of Egyptian Pharoahs and African Kingdoms.

ELA

Today we worked with the basic plural rules.  We made rule cards to use with our project on Tuesday.

Basic Math

Practice 2-4 Do Numbers 16-18.  Show all work.

Basic Reading & ELA - MEAP testing today and tomorrow

Basic Math- Correct Worksheet C-Order of Operations.

English - Students practiced the correct use of (lend-borrow; let-leave) while performing short skits using these terms correctly.

Spelling - This weeks words have the prefix (dis-). Words were introduced and students were assigned a worksheet and writing words 3x each.

Basic Reading - We have completed our reading of Samurai-Fighters of Old Japan. We will spend the next few weeks reading content area (Social Studies and Science materials) focusing on those concepts.

Basic Math - Assignment Worksheet C (Order of Operations). We will be having a quiz soon and then move on to Variable Expressions (y+3=8).

Spelling - This weeks words are: waste, waist, bow, bough, sum, some, peace, piece

Basic Reading - We are continuing to read "Samurai-". Focusing on comprehension and writing a paragraph on topic.

Basic Math- We have been reviewing Order of Operations with the acronym PEMDAS (Parenthesis, Exponents, Multiply, Divide, Add, Subtract). We will be working on this and the students will have assignments each day.
